Student Diversity Organizations

Several student organizations work to increase awareness, understanding, and appreciation for diverse populations and ideas.

Asian Student Union (ASU)

The Asian Student Union encourages Asian students to be more active in campus activities and to enrich the Fisher community with different aspects of Asian culture.

Black Student Union (BSU)

The purpose of this organization is to provide a forum for students to learn about issues influencing the Black experience, and to explore Black culture and heritage. Activities include workshops, lectures, and cultural celebrations. Membership is open to all Fisher students.

Latiné Student Union (LSU)

The goal of the Latiné Student Union is to educate campus about the Latino culture in the most positive way through cultural celebrations, workshops, and speakers.

Muslim Student Association (MSA)

The main objective of this association is to organize religious, academic, and cultural activities, to share the harmony of the Islamic way of life, and to preserve the Muslim identity on campus through the interaction of the students, faculty, staff, and general public.

Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA)

The mission of SAGA is to promote and celebrate the various forms of diversity by fostering understanding and tolerance with particular regard and sensitivity to issues of sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, and concerns of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer community in the world, specifically as it pertains to student life at Fisher.
