Program Eligibility
This program is available to graduates from any undergraduate discipline. The inclusive adolescence education graduate program will qualify you for initial certification in an adolescence education content area in grades 5-12 and certification to teach students with disabilities as a generalist.
Application Materials Needed
Fisher Applicants (Current Undergraduate Students and Recent Alumni)
- Completed .
- Baccalaureate degree in progress or completed.
Note: As a previous Fisher student or alumni, the admissions department will retrieve your Official Fisher Transcript free of cost to you.
Other Applicants (Your Undergraduate Degree is not from Fisher)
- Completed .
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. (For the quickest transcript processing, please contact each institution attended and request an official transcript with electronic delivery to Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ.)
- Two recommendations. These should be from colleagues, professors, or supervisors. (You will be prompted to assign your recommenders within the online application.)
- Current résumé.
- A copy of your New York State teaching certification OR proof of pending certification is required for students just completing their undergraduate studies.
- Personal goal statement of 300 to 500 words that includes your:
- Goals and plans for the future.
- Reason for graduate study in your chosen field.
